Brain Training and Cognitive Remediation

Brain Training

Much like a personal trainer for the brain, this work helps to optimize cognitive potential by helping students to fully realize, utilize, and develop their talents while also developing compensatory learning skills that navigate around any areas of difficulty.

COGNITIVE REMEDIATION

Some students need to strengthen areas of cognition to improve their academic potential.  They may have weaknesses that get in the way of reading, writing, math, memory, or listening.   Students always begin at a level where they experience success so that they feel capable and can make measurable gains.  Some common areas to improve are:

  • executive functioning
  • working memory
  • auditory and visual memory
  • visual processing
  • auditory processing
  • processing speed
  • emotional regulation
  • fine motor dexterity
